Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. mission is to deliver compact, economical, high output and high efficiency engines for generators, agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, and all-terrain vehicles like dune buggies and snow mobiles, Fuji Heavy Industries employs the upfront CFD approach and has integrated CFdesign flow and thermal analysis software into their early design process.
Founded in 1922, Bongard is the French specialist of bakery and pastry equipment. For more than a year, Bongard's been using CFdesign for product development. Recently CFdesign was used to solve overheating problems in a new double circuit rotary oven. CFdesign also helped Bongard engineers optimize the air speed to ensure uniform baking in the oven and exhaust through the ventilation hood.
When Severstal North America recently rebuilt one of its blast furnaces, they faced a challenge: the emission control system had to be designed for a casthouse that didn’t yet exist. The project would have been difficult – maybe nearly impossible – without the help of SNC-Lavalin's engineering services and the use of CFdesign.
